Illyria by Elizabeth Hand
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I was not sure about this book at first since it was about two cousins who were in love with one another, but I'm open minded so i decided to give it a try.
I thought it started out good but I found it a little slow in the middle. However, I thought the ending was beautiful. I'm glad I decided to read this one.

WOW!!!! When I first starting reading this book i didn't think that it was as scary or gory as the first book in the series...but boy, was I wrong. I actually had to stop reading this book at night because it just creeped me out and I'm a grown woman.
I really enjoyed this one more than the first one and now I can't wait to read the next book,"Fearscape".

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
I feel like I just wasted four and a half hours of my life. I did not like this book. The writing style was unique and different at first, but it became very annoying real fast. All the repetition of words and all the slashes were very, very, very, very annoying. And speaking of annoying, I just wanted to slap Juliette, "I'm as pink as a summer sunset"...who talks like that, who even thinks like that???? It seemed that she never stopped Whining and moaning.
I will not be reading the next book in this series.
Just My Opinion!

I've read the previous series by Melissa de la Cruz, "The Blue Bloods", so when she introduced Freya Beauchamp in her last Blue Bloods book,I was very excited to read this next series.
I really like the three Beauchamp ladies (witches), Joanna the mother, Ingrid the librarian and Freya the wild child. They are all different, yet all very likable characters.
There are a lot of twist and turns at the end of the book and I'm really looking forward to the next in the series.
